Common Questions
What is a cloud configuration audit?
A cloud configuration audit assesses your cloud account configurations against security best practices — covering IAM policies, network security groups, encryption settings, logging and monitoring, storage permissions, and service-specific hardening. It identifies misconfigurations that create exposure without requiring active exploitation.
How is this different from a cloud penetration test?
A cloud config audit reviews configuration settings — identifying misconfigurations, overly permissive policies, and missing controls. A cloud penetration test attempts to exploit those misconfigurations. Both are complementary and recommended annually for regulated environments.
Which cloud platforms do you assess?
We assess AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Multi-cloud environments are assessed in a single engagement. Alibaba Cloud and Oracle Cloud assessments are available on request.
Can you assess multi-account AWS organisations?
Yes. Our AWS assessments cover multi-account organisations — including AWS Organizations policies, Service Control Policies (SCPs), account factory configurations, and cross-account IAM trust relationships.
